Church focus and goals: Under Bishop Clayton’s leadership the Philadelphia Church has developed and articulated its mission and goals. The four goals focus on: (1) Prayer, then action (which includes Outreach) (2) Learning and applying the Word of God (in our everyday lives)including Discipleship lessons (3) Practical and holy living (Romans 12) and (4) Authentic Fellowship – by means of the one another commands.

Personal Interest: Bishop Clayton’s passion is education. He loves to teach and learn as evidenced in his long and productive career as a professional educator. His career has spanned more than 34 years and includes classroom teacher, principal, area administrator and regional superintendent. He believes we are all lifelong learners.

Favorite Scripture: Bishop Clayton’s favorite Bible verse and one which guides his life is Galatians 2:20. “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”
