In the Fall of 2008, Elder Green was called to be the Senior Pastor of the Baltimore Church of God where most of the congregation could be his parents. The Baltimore Church of God welcomed this son of Union Bridge into its’ family of believers that loves God and worships Him with their whole heart. He is blessed with a wonderful sense of humor and is supported 100% by his lovely and dutiful wife, First Lady Anna Green. His Assistant Pastor Vernell Hardy and ministerial and deacon staff are committed to carrying out the local mission for the church.
Church focus and goals: The Baltimore Church strives to be Christ-centered and community-focused, welcoming everyone to join with them in worship as they all grow closer to Jesus Christ. The focus of the ministry is to:
1.Create a worship environment that glorifies God and focuses on Him.
2. Fellowship with one another as we face life’s problems, knowing that we are not alone.
3. Fortify our faith by growing in understanding.
4. Discover our talents and use them to fulfill His mission.
5. Share with others the Gospel and benefits of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Personal Interest: Most people don’t know that Pastor Jamie, as he is affectionately called by many, loves riding motorcycles (He’s a Gold Wing Man) and he loves classic cars.
Favorite Scripture: Pastor Jamie’s guiding scripture he shares with the Baltimore Church is St. John 9:4 “I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.”
